The weld arms
The Weld Arms is a 17th century thatched pub and was originally a row of cottages built in the 1700's by the Weld family and became a central part of the village in late 18th Century when they moved the village of East Lulworth outside the Castle walls. In the early 1800's it became an Inn and is rumoured to have been a popular stop for smugglers.
Today the pub comprises of a comfertable main bar with a log fire and sofas on which to lounge. The Weld Arms is a family pub, and we have a childrens play area in the garden. Children and dogs are welcome throughout, and traditional pub games can be played.
The old tap room and middle bar are now used as dining rooms.
